i also have the same model but my problem is that the screen of my monitor is broken. looking for a replacement may i interest of purchasing the monitor of your laptop. ^_^

Hi,

I also have the same model of laptop as you do. I experimented too much perhaps with this latop and it went dead.I suspect the BIOS. If the motherboard of your Toshiba is no more good, I hope to have it. Maybe the BIOS still works..Or, perhaps, it's also the BIOS of your motherboard that fails...If fine with you, can I purchase the motherboard only?

If your laptop is out of warranty and spare parts are needed, they will order it and you will need to wait 2-3 months for it.

In case you need parts, yes I am more than happy to sell my laptop's parts. The Toshiba technician told me everything is in good working order except for the motherboard. My battery was been used for only 6 months
because I removed it when I bought it and it ran on A/C power the whole time. I only started using the battery summer 2009.

Incidentally, I replaced my dead laptop with an HP Mini 311. :D

hi there! first of all, my condolences on the loss of ur laptop. :( second, I'd like to ask where exactly in Makati is the Toshiba Service Center? incidentally, I have the exact same model of laptop that you had (though mine's still clinging to life, thank goodness) and I'd like to bring it in for cleaning... which brings me to my last query: would you mind at all if, should the need arise, I could purchase some parts from your old laptop?

anyway, I hope u can find a great replacement for the laptop u lost. oh, and keep up the good work. my wife really enjoys your blog (she's here somewhere...) (",)

Thank you for the feedback on the HP Mini, it's one of the models I'm considering. My Toshiba was 15" and I want something smaller and lighter this time.

My Compaq laptop actually lasted from late 2002 to early 2009 and it was very heavily used. It flashed the blue screen of death and I was able to restore it a few times to back-up the contents before it completely died.

sorry to hear that. My apple mac was bought nov 2007 and it has slowed down considerably. am using my HP mini most of the time. My daughters HP laptop is still working well. I bought it the same time as my mac.

I don't really know what's a good brand.
